New Ash Green Epee Club

The fencing club opened in New Ash Green village hall back in October 2009 by British international fencer Taran Nicholls.

The club coaches epee which is a direct descendant of the original duelling sword, these days we do not fence to first blood but until you touch your opponent with the tip of the blade causing a buzzer to go off.

Every session includes a warm up game, footwork (essential to success) free fencing and blade work or individual lessons/tips.

The club has had much success in its short history with two fencers qualifying and representing the south east region at the British youth championships. Also fencing in the England youth championships and getting good results at the Elite epee.

Jonathan Farmer has just qualified to compete in this year's British youth championships to be held in Sheffield later this year, also the final of the Elite epee junior series held in April.
