Finding one’s way around New Ash Green can be almost as baffling to long term residents as it is to newcomers and visitors.

It's original architects and master planners Eric Lyons and Partners wanted New Ash Green to be a place to explore and indeed it is. Houses disappear into the trees and landscaping and even long term residents are frequently surprised at coming across places, vistas they never knew existed.

That is part of the charm of the place and why many of us love to be here but it can be a complete pain if you need to find a specific house and find it quickly.

New Ash Green is planned on a neighbourhood basis, groups of houses often without through roads and usually with bands of trees separating adjacent neighbourhoods from each other.
